Earl, McNair and Ridley Reading Together for 1st Time!
Eventbrite registration required for Zoom reading on 12/11/23 2pm EST
I believe this is the first time that I am reading with both my dear friends and fellow writers, Christine McNair and Sandra Ridley. I’m thrilled.
Please register in advance to attend the Zoom event on Sunday, November 12, 2pm Eastern Standard Time. The event should last for about an hour or so. Even if you aren’t sure you will be able to attend, please register. It’s possible that before the reading, I will be unable to be online to provide the link and I don’t want anyone to miss the event. Please also share the link with others.
Beast Body Epic is available from AngelHousePress! If you don’t already have a copy, I hope you get one!
I needed to hold this particular reading on November 12 because that’s the date in 2009 that I survived despite all odds. My surgeon told Charles, my husband, that I could either die in ICU or on the operating table, it was his choice. The surgeon did not believe I had any chance of survival. The surgery was going to be an exploratory surgery because they had no idea what was wrong with me. It turned out I had full body sepsis and a toxic mega colon. The operation took something like eleven hours. They removed my colon and I survived!
This is a day of celebration for me. I am so grateful to be here and I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate than to launch my book, Beast Body Epic and to read with these two dear ones. When I was going through my health crisis, they were 100% there for me and for Charles. I can’t begin to express my gratitude to Sandra and Christine for their care and support.
I have always admired their writing and consider us kindred sisters in our literary aesthetics as well as in life. Christine and Sandra have books available from Book*hug Press. I will share the links to their books in their bios below.
