Greetings Dear Readers,
The days are getting longer, and the light is slanting toward spring. This month’s poems offer moments where we pause and take notice of what is happening now. I hope you enjoy the issue.
With the change in the light and the weather, I find myself feeling excited for spring. One reason to be excited is forthcoming festivals: VERSeFest, Ottawa’s annual poetry festival, which will take place in March and the Ottawa International Writers Festival that will happen in May. I feel very lucky to live in a city where hard-working staff and volunteers ensure that we have rich and engaging literary festivals with writers from all over the world who come to read and discuss their work with us. Keep an eye on the Bywords.ca calendar to find out more details about the programs of each festival.
