It’s February and time for the latest free pdf for paid subscribers. Since my health crisis, I’ve been writing about my experiences in many ways, including in essay form. This month, I’m giving subscribers this essay series, Gutless Wonder. I guess it’s for anyone who’s had to go through serious health issues or has known someone who has. There’s a lot about the Ottawa General here, the staff, my fears, my joys, overcoming some struggles and facing other ones, guilt, love. Some gross details about bowel obstructions and nasogastric tubes maybe some of you might want to skip over. But most of all, there’s love and hope and what I hope is an articulation of gratitude for this life and for love and friendship. Thank you to everyone who loves and lives and finds a way to cope in this shitebox of a world. And thank you to all who read my posts and engage with me or who just read. You’re lovely.
