I’m thrilled to announce that I will be giving a workshop for the Write Time Workshop group, hosted by dear friend and former Ottawan, Matthew James Jones and Grace Bialeckie. The workshop is free and open to all (above 18) with donations requested. Following my talk, there will be a 90-minute writing workshop. If you’d like to attend, you can either sign up for the Write Time newsletter or ask me for the Zoom link.

Writing the erotic as a radical act of resistance: experiences, insights, musings, questions
In this thirty-minute workshop, Amanda Earl will take you behind the scenes of her erotic writing with excerpts and a discussion of techniques to help you craft effective and provocative texts, and to consider how you can work through your own vulnerabilities and experiences to write about sex. The workshop will contain graphic language and convention-defying themes, such as dominance and submission, kink and fetishes, consensual non consent, and non-monogamy. Erotica novelist, Lisabet Sarai has described Earl's stories as gorgeous, transgressive, and intense.
All participants will receive the notes, which include tips, prompts and resources for those who wish to write erotic texts. In additional, participants will receive a Google doc with Amanda’s ever-expanding list of resources for creators of poetry, prose and visual poetry.
