Shloka Shankar joins Caring Imagination

I am pleased to welcome Shloka Shankar to the Caring Imagination advisory board. Shloka joins Cat Chong, Jacqueline Valencia, Rae White and Terri Witek as advisors.

Shloka is a writer, visual artist, editor, & publisher from Bangalore, India.

The Caring Imagination Mission

To center, support and amplify the voices of systemically excluded artists and cultural workers.

To increase awareness and knowledge of arts resources that prioritize inclusion, equity, and social justice.

To provide links to practical how to guides on creating, producing and disseminating art with compassion.

Plans for 2023

Stay tuned for a call for submission for how to guides to be posted on the AngelHousePress.com site and shared on CaringImagination.com as resources. There will be an honorarium for the guides.

I am also adding resources to CaringImagination.com when I find them. If you have links to add, please contact me at amanda @ angelhousepress dot com. A useful resource is one that offers practical ways for artists and cultural workers to act with compassion in their practice. Other resources I’m looking for are databases and directories of systematically excluded creators and cultural workers, sensitivity readers, site creators with experience making accessible sites…etc.
